Practical, self-reliance skills are at the heart of this pillar. Acquiring essential skills such as fire making, outdoor cooking, gardening, woodworking, and mending. Building confidence with hands on opportunities to tend a homestead.

At Kith, community-building is central. Those on the homestead learn the art of holding space, building connections through active listening, multi-age interactions and being an active participant in a community. The goal is to cultivate a supportive and cooperative environment, encouraging individuals to contribute authentically to their community.

This pillar nurtures creative expression across lots of forms. From handwork to storytelling, heritage crafts, artistic talents, movement and language and everything in between. Creativity is a means of self-expression and cultural connection and ever evolving.
