I’m so thrilled to be able to welcome Rachel Whitfield aka Rachel In The Dales Pottery to Kith again this year. We first discovered her wonderful creations at the Malham show years ago, (we can’t quite figure out how long now) and have been treating ourselves to her beautiful designs ever since.

This season she’ll be guiding us through making our own hand-built bowl, jug or plate from stoneware clay using various techniques (those who came to Rachel’s workshop last year and made a bowl, can try their hand at making a jug or plate this time) . We’ll get to decorated our bowls using natural materials collected on a foraging walk around Kith. Rachel will then be finishing the bowls using her homemade glazes made from natural materials local to the Three Peaks area of the Yorkshire Dales.

This is a course suitable for adults, from beginners upwards.

• This course will be held outside so appropriate clothing is essential

• Refreshments are included in the price, bring your own cup/reusable mug so we can keep you topped up with tea/coffee
