Homestead Handcrafts

  • Horn Bank Farm, North Rigton LS17 0DS United Kingdom (map)

Especially for adults wanting to spend time together, learning/refining/enjoying (whichever stage you’re at) a morning of handcrafting. Working with our hands to craft something special to take home. Moreover, a morning spend amongst likeminded folks, connecting with a community of people who value time spent together.

All resources will be provided for the seasonal craft, as well as a warm drink and small snack (probably cake!)

The specific handcraft will be decided closer to the time but likely to be along the lines of;

Hand weaving
Needle Felting
Watercolour painting
Sketching/drawing
Knitting
Crocheting
Sewing
Macrame

Spaces will be limited so please book in ahead of time to ensure there’s a spot for you. Depending on the weather we’ll either be outside or in the yurt. Please dress accordingly and bring layers, proper footwear and a re-useable flask to keep a hot drink in.

The cost is £10 for 3 hours crafting.
From 12.30 we’ll be finishing our crafting. Onward from then, you’re welcome to bring your own lunch and eat together before heading home.

To book, please send an email to lorna@kithhomestead.com I’ll send you BACS details to make the payment.

It’s a possibility your craft won’t be finished within the 3 hours. The aim isn’t for completion, but to enjoy the process, a community gathering to be amongst others whilst crafting. The magic of the meeting is in the connections with others and the chance to work with your hands. Connecting hearts, minds and bodies.

This also isn’t a fully taught workshop. I will give basic instructions, suggestions and resources for you to use. Whilst we’ll be crafting together, there will be opportunity to learn from each other; new skills and techniques, methods and suggestions. I welcome anyone who is an expert and who feels called to, to take more of a leadership roll.
